My birthday has come and gone and it was nice. Really nice. 25 sounds really grown up to me. it sounds adult wouldn’t you say? Im glad it does actually. Im ready for that level of adult-ness. I got a lot of cards and calls along with some money to buy some boots, love mom and dad.
So my day proceeded as follows:
Woke up and was given my first gift from Dan with a really sweet card.

Next I opened my email to see a L.L. Bean gift card from mom. She sent me some money to buy an L.L. Bean tote bag, listed as one of the 100 Essential Items in Nina Garcia’s book The One Hundred: A Guide to the Pieces Every Stylish Woman Must Own.
Then we ate granola and went to the gym.
Afterwards, Dan swept me away to a local park where there is a mountain of some sorts that you can hike to the top of, which we did. Then we had a picnic. It was charming and romantic.

Next, it was off to Freeport, Maine. We were headed to the L.L. Bean flagship store to get my tote bag.

After L.L. Bean, we went back to Portland and hit Cold Stone Creamery, where my mom had called and ordered a cake for us, and said “add on anything else they want.” Therefore, we both got some more ice cream. Mine was Birthday Cake Remix of course.

After that yummy experience, we took a nap. Wonderful thing to do one your birthday I must say.
At 5:30 we left the apartment to visit the Train Station and board the Haloween Express. Not scary but still something creative and fun.

And what birthday would be complete without a dinner out? I had the lobstah.

are you tired yet? I was. We left the restaurant and headed to Best Buy where Dan bought “My Fair Lady” to watch later that night. We headed home and Dan began to make me a Cherry Pie, from scratch. Fact. You did read that right.

It was delicious.
Movie time and then good night.

a good day. one of my best birthdays to date.
